Sights and Bites from the 2017 Fayetteville Roots Festival

It is no secret that we love the Fayetteville Roots Festival. There is no other multi-day festival with culinary programing that matches the quality of Roots. This year features a ton of top chefs from the state as well as a number of nationally known and respected chefs from across the country.
If you love food and the culinary scene of Arkansas, you should make a point to attend each year. For this year we will keep a running post on photos and behind the scenes looks at the culinary programing of the Fayetteville Roots Festival.
Day 1 – VIP Party at Pratt Place
The VIP party is one of the two huge culinary highlight events. It pairs chefs across the state and country together to cook up one dish. The chefs always bring their best, and almost never disappoint. It is some of the best 2-3 bites you will ever have.
The event also features music, local craft beer, and craft cocktails from the PH Alchemy team. Here is your look at the food this year.

Day 2: Dig In Series at Brightwater
Part of what is great with Roots is the ability to interact well with chefs and musicians. It is very clear in both the Dig In and Taste and Talk series. For Dig In they a number of chefs participating in Roots got together at Brightwater Culinary School in Bentonville for a lecture and cooking series. It gave good insights to their cooking styles and personalities.

Day 3: Farmer’s Market Cookoff
